Aloha! Longing to experience the "real"
Hawaii? Come share our farm estate in the historic Kau District. Unknown to many visitors, Hawaii has a rich agricultural history. What makes us unique is the diversity of products. There isn't a single day in 365 that you can't see, touch, taste or smell something coming to fruition on the Big Island. While chairing an agtourism Ass. Charlêné had the opportunity to learn more of the challenges that farmers here in Hawaii are struggling with. Many of us are turning to tourism to augment our income- Ever experience the sweet, intoxicating crunch of a Macadamia fresh from the shell? We're working hard to grow our Macadamias pesticide free in large part with the help of our free ranging Hawaiian chickens [did you know chickens were introduced to Hawaii by the original Polynesians?] Guests staying at least 3 nights may pick nuts fresh from the orchard floor, then process them using our hand crank machine. We'll take it from there and then have them bagged and ready when you leave.

Over the years we began to notice guests curiosity about how Macadamias were grown, and the history of farming Macadamias in Hawaii. That lead to our present complimentary, educational orchard tours, and if you'd like to avail yourself of one just tell us at check-in. Charlêné usually offers tours right after breakfast.

Some folks come to our farm not to pick nuts, but just to sit back and enjoy a country setting that they might have remembered from long ago. If you're seeking the non-Disneyland version of Hawaii- welcome to our farm!!

Rates from $99 to $149 per night plus tax [11.41%]

Sumptuous full continental breakfast incorporating our farm fresh grown tropical nuts and fruits.

Working Macadamia Nut Farm. Rooms have cable TV, microwaves, refrigerators. Rooms have access from a walking path around the home on the lawn to their private entrances- so guests may come and go as they wish. Wireless DSL internet

Payment & Cancellation Policies

Deposit: 1 nights rate plus tax will be charged to hold the reservation [2 nights plus tax for rentals 5 nights or more]. Balance due at checkin and is non refundable for an early checkout unless rooms can be re-booked [which isn't likely as people mostly reserve before they come]
Cancellation: For a full refund [less $20 rebooking fee] cancellation must be made 30 days or more from 1st night of reservation. Cancellations made within 30 days forfeit their deposit unless rooms can be re-booked.
