By the second day at Kia'i Kai guests have made themselves at home and are well on there way to pure relaxation. There is something about the location of Kia'i Kai that takes all the stress away. The inn is situated brilliantly along the Puna coast, and takes in beautiful seascapes. Along the ocean are rugged lava cliffs, which highlight the dramatic landscape and the ocean itself never ceases to captivate you with its powerful waves, sealife, and colors.

- Location
- We are located midway between Hilo and Volcanoes National Park, just south of Kaloli Point.
- Rooms/Suites
- All rooms are ocean front with spectacular views, all rooms have private entrances, and all rooms have private bathrooms.
Kia'i Kai Suite - This ocean front master suite is a wonderful option for honeymooners and travellers alike. It offers a private lanai, large sitting area with queen sized futon couch, king sized bed, microwave, refrigerator, and large bathroom with double vanity and double shower heads. It sleeps up to four adults.
Holomoku Suite - This ocean front suite offers a bedroom with queen sized bed, as well as a sitting room with a full sized futon couch, refrigerator, microwave and bathroom with large shower. Up to three adults can be accommodated.
Makali'i Room - This ocean front room offers a queen sized bed and large bathroom with a tub/shower combination. - Rates
- Makali'i Room - $105 per night based on double occupancy;
Holomoku Suite - $135 per night based on double occupancy plus $10 per additional guest per night;
Kia'i Kai Suite - $185 per night based on double occupancy plus $10 per additional guest per night.
State taxes are not included in the room rates. - Breakfast
- We proudly serve 100% Hawai'i island coffee and use organic, local products for our tropical breakfasts.
- Facilities
- Common areas include a common room in the main house, a lap pool and hot tub that over look the ocean, water and tropical gardens, and picnic area. Some of the local tourist attractions include volcanoes, lava flow viewing sites, waterfalls, botanical gardens, hiking/biking trails, and star gazing from Mauna Kea.

- We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, cash, or travelers checks. Should a cancellation be necessary we charge a $10.00 processing fee and one night’s deposit. (Unless the room can be rebooked for the dates reserved. In that case there is only a $10.00 charge.)
